“Make much of the blood of Jesus now!”  These words were spoken to my heart by the Holy Spirit at the beginning of 2007.  It seemed that He was telling me that the Body of Christ was to make much of the blood of Jesus from now until He returns. There is a tremendous increase of the powers of darkness of evil in the world; Satan knows his days are numbered.  It is only the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus and the Word of God that causes Satan to run in stark terror from a child of God who knows his position of authority in Christ Jesus.

I began to study and pray about the blood of Jesus. In Billye Brim’s book, ‘The Blood and The Glory,’ she tells of one old-timer, Carl Roos, who before he moved to heaven said, “The Lord told us, ‘Make much of the Blood; and the Blood will make much of you.’”  You see, a Christian’s life is in the Blood of Jesus. Lev. 17:11

Honor the Blood

The Holy Spirit went on to show me that many churches had stopped preaching and singing about the Blood of Jesus, and admonished me saying, “Everywhere you go to minister, I want you to sing about the Blood before you preach.”  I am doing that and am experiencing an increase in the anointing every time.

Billye Brim said the concept of honoring the blood of Jesus was well known to the saints of old.  I remember that when I began to travel and sing in the late seventies, I would always sing about the blood of Jesus.  I noticed when I did that a stronger anointing would come upon me.  Sometimes I would literally shake under the power of God. At the time I didn’t really understand why that was happening.   I knew it was God because I could not shake like that in the natural.  I came to know that it was the POWER that is in the blood of Jesus that caused me to shake like that.  The presence of God would fill the atmosphere, and people’s lives would be touched by the Power of God.  People were born again, delivered and healed by His power.

The Holy Spirit asked me, “Have you wondered why there have been fewer salvations?”  No talk of my Blood--- fewer salvations.  He revealed further,  ‘tell them to put their focus on the precious Blood of Jesus and they will begin to see a turn around in their churches, yes even in their individual lives and cities, and yes even in the surrounding towns and hamlets.  Increase your faith in the power of the Blood and speak”!

The Power of the Blood of Jesus

I used to sing a song by Andrae Crouch called, ‘The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power’.  It goes like this—The blood that Jesus shed for me/Way back on Calvary/The blood that gives me strength from day to day/It will never lose its power.  It soothes my doubts and calms my fears/And it dries all my tears/The blood that gives me strength from day to day/It will never lose its power.  For it reaches to the highest mountain/And it flows to the lowest valley/The blood that gives me strength from day to day/It will never lose its power.

The blood of Jesus has an unlimited reach in our lives.  Hebrews 10:10 By he which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.  When Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane in Matthew 26:39—O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Jesus, out of obedience, laid down His will for the will of the Father. He completely surrendered Himself spirit, soul, and body to the will of God for us. The power of His will is carried in the blood. The choice Jesus made in the Garden of Gethsemane to do the will of God is in His blood for us.  The blood of Jesus cleanses every part of man.  There is no valley to low or mountain to high that the blood of Jesus cannot reach.  Whether it is a BIG problem or a LITTLE problem the blood of Jesus has the POWER to obliterate it out of your life.  The blood of Jesus flows anywhere and everywhere sin or Satan has been able to reach or damage.  Smith Wiggles worth said, “There’s not one thing in me that the blood does not cleanse.”  The blood of Jesus reaches ever part; our will, purposes, motive and ambitions are purged by the blood of Jesus.

Live a Life of Full Provision for Others

Last month the Lord spoke to my heart, “Live a life of full provision for others.”  With those words I encourage you to stretch your faith to the point that you are well supplied and abounding with the richness of the Holy Spirit so that you may be able to be a supply for others.  I believe that being full to overflowing with the Spirit of God is your identity as a Christian. When God pours out His Spirit on people, the gifts are the ways in which the Holy Spirit manifests His presence into their lives. 

The Holy Spirit is such an awesome person of the Godhead.  He wants to give His gifts to others through you.

The full provision for others falls into three groups:  three of them do something; three say something and three reveal something.

The power gifts (do) something, and they are as follows: the gift of faith, healings and miracles.

Food for Thought

Many Christians have asked, “Why do we not see more of the gifts of faith, gifts of healings and gifts of miracles in manifestation today?”  Could it be that the Body of Christ has not been making much of the blood of Jesus? THE POWER IS IN THE BLOOD!

The Deceiver

Satan is the great deceiver.  He is the one that deceives us into thinking we do not need to sing about the blood or preach about the blood of Jesus.  Satan knows the power that is in the blood of Jesus.  It was the power of the blood of Jesus that defeated him on Calvary.

Gifts of the Holy Ghost

Let us make much of the blood of Jesus, and see the Holy Spirit manifest the power gifts in our midst through the wonderful gifts of faith, gifts of healings and working of miracles.

The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart.  He said, “Make much of the blood of Jesus now.”  There is a pattern in the blood of Jesus. Everywhere you go and sing and preach about the blood of Jesus, if it is BELIEVED, RECEIVED AND ACTED UPON.  Healings and miracles will be released in the HOUSE.

There has come a spiritual famine in the lives of my people because of a lack of awareness and acknowledgement of the blood of Jesus. They will not be aware that there has been famine until they put their focus back on the blood of Jesus. It has been a subtle attack of Satan. It has caused famine in the natural.

Thank me for the Blood of Jesus. Praise me for the Blood of Jesus. Worship me for the Blood of Jesus, and I will manifest my glory in unprecedented proportions right in your midst. There will be revelation of my love through my son, Jesus. You will understand why He shed His precious blood for you. My love will come into your life that has never been experienced before.  Everywhere you go you will tell it.

Oh, such boldness in the Holy Ghost as never seen before.  Everywhere you go, release the Blood of Jesus to flow.

If you will lift your hands and thank, praise and worship Jesus for His blood that He shed on Calvary for you. A spiritual praise will come out of your innermost being that will enter into the heavenly realm.  This praise will come up before the throne of God releasing within you the empowering ability to access everything God has for you. Everything that has been held back by Satan will be released—you WILL gather up the spoil.

Prophecy by—Reverend Betty Ann McMillen , October 2007

I had the pleasure to hear Reverend Betty Ann McMillen, who recently spoke at Reflections of Christ Church about the Fire of God.  Rev. McMillen told us how God’s fire will change us and how He wants the fire of Himself in us (the church). The fire is His presence and His presence in us.

This opened up many questions in me as to why, even though I have the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of tongues, I am not seeing the fruit of that fire. As the Body of Christ have we let our fire be doused out? Is our light growing dim? Has our candle burned out? Did we refill our oil? Have we let the false light of the world (the look good, feel good, have it all now) take the place of the fire on our altar?

I have pondered on these questions and searched myself and have asked God to increase my anointing.

In Leviticus 6:13 it says, “The fire shall be ever burning upon the altar it shall never go out. And the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it:"  The long-burning character of the burnt offering is an appropriate illustration of the work of giving ourselves completely to God.

Coming to God as a living sacrifice is not a quick work and we may feel that we are roasted on the fire for a long time.

The perpetual fire burn on the altar of our hearts? Are we ever looking unto Jesus, and beholding, by faith, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world? Luke 3:16 says, “John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:” The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of fire. And Jesus said, “I’ve come to bring fire on earth.”

There is no escaping fire. Is the world going to hell fire because the church has lost its Holy Ghost Fire? Wow…now let us all ponder on that! We have tried to organize programs with groups of people and try to start revival in our communities, but that fire starts in each one of us first. God takes individual men. He takes Moses to the backside of the desert. John the Baptist was in the wilderness until the day of his showing forth. Jesus, the Son of God who had left the Glory, spent thirty years in training to minister! We think we spend a few months in Bible School and all of a sudden we think we are a great prophet or …so-oh-sooo…Holy that we can’t be taught anything new. It is not how many meetings you go to. Not how many gifts you have. Not how many sermons you preach. Not how many records or songs you have made or sung. Not how much more you know than the rest of the church…or think you know. It is about time.

How spiritual are you? How much time do you spend alone with God seeking His face, receiving His fire that continually burns in you? How do we keep this fire burning? By His Word, daily in our lives, daily speaking with Him, daily letting Him mould you to who you are in Him.

Now, to answer some of my earlier questions: the reason for this cooling of our fire is the lack of our first love. Love for God, that desire for the bridegroom no more burns in human hearts, and in consequence, love between us is dead, too, for without that excitement and expectation as the church, we can’t show God’s true love. 

What is the cause of this darkening of men’s love for God? The answer, certainly, is sin. Sin (the things of the world that steal your time away from God) is the dark cloud, which does not permit God’s light to reach our eyes. The fire of God’s love needs to be fed. It must grow each day, gathering strength in our soul; and a fire is maintained by burning more things (repentance of our sins). The kingdom of God is within you. You will find Him in your heart. Christ should reign first and foremost in our soul. Lets let that Fire of God burn bright and let not the things of the world douse your flames.

I Peter 4:12 says, “Dear Friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you." 

I Peter 4:13  "Instead, be very glad because these trials will make you partners with Christ in his suffering, and afterward you will have the wonderful joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world."
